At the upcoming Hannover Domotex fair, Unilin IP will present a newly developed locking technology, named Unizip®, which sets a new standard for herringbone glueless flooring panels. 

On 3rd January 2019, Flooring Industries, Unilin’s intellectual property division, entered into an exclusive sublicensing arrangement to commercialize IOBAC’s revolutionary magnetic technology globally. IOBAC patented technology, allows floors and walls to be installed simply and quickly using magnetism, while providing end-users with ultimate flexibility to change and remodel in less time and at a lower cost than traditional systems.

On September 20, 2018, Flooring Industries, Unilin’s IP division, filed a new court case before the Landgericht Düsseldorf against Windmöller GmbH for infringement of European Patent EP 2 843 155. The infringement action is directed against Windmöller’s alleged infringing sales of resilient products, which are amongst others marketed under the brands Wineo Designboden and Wineo Purline Bioboden.
