In a 13 page decision, issued on March 24th, 2021 by the Chinese National Intellectual Property Administration (“CNIPA”), Unilin’s CN 101023230 patent was declared to remain valid. The decision follows an action filed by a third party claiming the patented invention lacked ingenuity based on several prior art technologies.

• On the 16^th of September, 2020, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) confirmed the Initial Determination of the 15^th of May 2020 rendered by ITC Judge Shaw. All asserted Unilin patents were again considered valid and infringed, and a General Exclusion Order was issued to prevent all importation of PVC based products falling under the Unilin patents without license or other permission.
